Is acupuncture safe?

Acupuncture is safe when practised by a Chartered Physiotherapist trained to use convential acupuncture. Ben qualified as an acupuncturist in 2002, and Catherine qualified in 2005. She is a member of the Acupuncture Association for Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). Strict hygiene guidelines must be followed, and regular training courses are required to remain registered.

At the Teme Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Clinic, Wichenford, Worcester, the needles used are single use, disposable, pre-sterilised and individually packaged.

The Teme Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Clinic in Worcester is licensed to use acupuncture. Used needles are disposed of in special containers that are collected regularly and destroyed by incineration.

Blood Donation: If you are a blood donor and are recieving acupuncture from Teme Physio, please ask for a signed certificate. You are able to continue to donate blood as long as you have a certificate signed by a member of the AACP.
